#COVIDSECURE Open Expeditions planned for 2021
An Open Expedition allows participants the opportunity to join a group of other young people to undertake and complete their expedition. This is a great option if you have been unable to complete your expedition with your organisation in 2020 because of COVID.
2021 expeditions will be prepared following COVID secure guidelines set out by NYA COVID-19 Guidance - NYA All our open expeditions will include an overnight stay unless the guidance changes.
East Coast Outdoors takes responsibility for the whole expedition experience under our risk assessments and safe operating procedures. We pride ourselves on delivering high quality experiences from the point of drop off, until the last participant has been collected.
How will groups be formed?
As participants sign up they will be put into "bubbles" to walk together. If you are signing up with a friend let us know and we will "bubble" you in the same group.
Where will I sleep?
Overnight accommodation will be provided in tents, which will be kept 2 meters apart. Tents will be shared between 2 participants.
Will I need to bring my own food?
Yes - you will need enough food for the duration of the expedition. Access to water is available on the site. Cookers will be shared between 2 participants. We will provide you with kit and food lists in good time before the expedition.
