Open expeditions are an independent way to complete the expedition section of your DofE Award. The agreement to take part lies between parent (if the participant is under 18 years old) and East Coast Outdoors CIC and is not a school trip or visit. The company hold an AAP licence via the The Award Scheme.
Once you have booked your place we will make contact and when there are enough bookings to make a viable expedition, our staff arrange a ZOOM meeting to introduce themselves and the participants to each other giving opportunity for questions and an overview of what will happen.
Our leaders take responsibility for the whole expedition experience under our risk assessments and safe operating procedures. We pride ourselves on delivering high quality experiences from the point of drop off, until the last participant has been collected.
