
Instructors, all training & preparation, group kit*, camping fees, assessor reports, and an information event. Each walking group is supplied with a GPS Locator to ensure student safety and peace of mind for parent and school. Transport costs, food & personal kit are not included.
*Group kit includes;- Tents, Trangia's, fuel, maps, Group Shelter, Compasses, survival bags & First Aid supplies. All our equipment is well maintained and good quality
The cost per person for all 10 days is £500 plus vat.
A £40 deposit is required for each student taking part to secure a place. The balance is due a month before the final expedition takes place. Each participant must complete a company medical consent form ahead of the expedition.
All our Gold expeditions operate over 10 days in advanced level terrain. Each Gold expedition consists of training and a practice expedition (5 days), followed by an assessed or qualifying expedition (5 days) which includes an acclimatisation day.
Gold expeditions are staffed with Mountain Leader qualified instructors. Each instructor is DBS checked, holds a relevant 1st Aid Certificate, a Child Safeguarding Award and have demonstrated experienced leadership to safely deliver in mountainous terrain. We fully staff expeditions in line with our approved Risk Assessments & Safe Operating Procedures.
The company carries appropriate Insurance with Activities Industry Mutual (AIM). We have been awarded an AALA Licence and a LOtC Quality Badge to carry out safe and appropriate expeditions. Each expedition is guided by an experienced manager who will support participants, school staff & instructors. They monitor risk & safety, help train and manage expectations.
