We ask that your organisation provide staff on a 1:20 ratio.
School staff are asked to provide pastoral support and encouragement to students.
You are welcome to enjoy the local area and find somewhere for a coffee or lunch, try to stay within a 20 minute radius of the campsite.
We expect school staff to look after student welfare and be onsite between 7pm and 7am.
Tents, sleeping equipment, cooking stoves, all your food and clothing so that you are self sufficient. The company don't automatically supply anything, but please ask if you need to borrow a tent and we can throw one on the trailer for you.
Yes - once you go over the 1:20 ratio we will charge a simple £10 per head fee for school staff. For example - 80 students, 4 staff are included but the 5th is chargeable.
We provide trained staff on a 1:12 ratio minimum. Where there are additional requirements with medical, social or behavioural needs we will provide more staff to support on a 1:7 ratio.
Yes - all instructors camp overnight. Our Expedition Managers are available overnight to support you with welfare or behavioural issues.
Yes - we provide all training and offer a few different formats.
Yes - we are able to provide a training day on your school site between January & March.
We ask that organisations form walking groups of between 4 - 7 before the expedition begins. Our optimal number is 6 per walking group. We will confirm the maximum number of walking groups you can have at the time of booking and signing an agreement.
Our aim is to stay within 60 minutes from your school site for bronze and 2 hours for Silver. We appreciate that this isn't always possible, but we will work with you to find an appropriate venue. If you are based in London, we can look at public transport options.
Sometimes - where numbers are small (below 20) we sometimes use the same camp site, but teams are kept separate.
Where you have good quality kit which has been be well maintained, then we are happy to use it and offer a discount per head.
Your assessor will complete this and put it directly on your edofe account within 14 working days.
Only personal kit hire - which is optional.
Between 1st December and 31st March. We will email asking for your final number.
Deposits are usually due between January and March.
Twice - once for the deposit and again for the remaining balance. Further details are provided in your agreement about specific invoice dates.
